So here's the story...
Last night I had contractions from 10 pm to 4 am. They were all about 5 minutes apart. I drank a ton of water and soaked in the tub to help calm them down if they were braxton-hix ones. It didn't help and they kept coming. So we packed everything and I took a shower. I called the hospital and they said not to come in until the contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and when I couldn't physically talk during my contractions. They NEVER got to that point and I ended up falling asleep around 4:30 am when the contractions slowed down.
The next morning I woke up and was so depressed. I'll admit I cried. It sucks waking up, expecting to have the baby the night before, and not have him. I had a Dr. appointment today and she checked me for the first time... and apparently it hurts! No one told me! It feels like someone is pinching you super hard. NOT FUN. But the good news was that I am 4 cm dialated! yay! She could see I was misserable from the night before and then asked when I was 39 weeks (tomorrow) and what insurance I had. Then said she'd was going to check something and would be right back. Then I heard her on the phone with the hospital giving them my information. Words cannot describe how happy I was! She came back in and told me she had scheduled an induction for tomorrow morning at 6 am. I gave her a huge hug and almost burst into tears. (Apparently all these hormones makes you cry a lot...)
I called Davin to tell him the good news. Apparently he wasn't expecting in and freaked out a little bit. haha. He came home early from work cause he couldn't concentrate. He's still freaking out. I think it's the fact that the actual birth day was always far away and "some day in the future sometime." Now that it's finally here it is really hitting him. I have a feeling I'll be the one calming him down in the labor room. LOL.
I still want to try and not do an epidural but from what I've heard it's almost impossible. When they induce you, it sends you into really intense and strong labor. It is usually more intense then normal labor. So I guess we will see. Davin thinks I'll cave in and get one. But I am pretty dang determined and I got to 4cm on my own...
So we are just waiting till tomorrow morning! I'll try to post some pics tomorrow or the next day depending on when we meet him and how everthing goes!
